Be a part of the QPHIG Winter Wellness Festival
Interested in making an impact in the Kingston community? The Queen's Public Health Interest Group is in the process of planning its 2nd Annual Winter Wellness Festival, to be held in March. Last year, QPHIG came together with the City of Kington and the Kingston Police Force to provide Kingston families with a day of fun-filled physical activities, a free healthy lunch and an opportunity to learn about resources in the community. For a better idea of what WWF is all about, check out this news clip from last year's festival: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/19332944/Winter%20Wellness.avi. We are currently looking for students who would be interested in helping with funding and sponsorship, food and logistics, coordinating the physical activities and liaising with various community groups. Time commitment will depend on how active a role you are willing to take. If you are interested in being part of WWF 2012, please sign up here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dGx0dFBuOFhkdDNRVGdad2dFbENJdlE6MQ. Our first meeting will be on Tuesday, November 1st at 4:30 pm in Bracken 121. If you have any questions, please contact Heather Johnson at [email protected].
