Hey PTs and OTs!
What better way to celebrate the end (or almost end) of first year with a year-end BBQ? We have reserved the Henderson Room/Patio of the Grad Club at 4:00pm-7:00pm on May 31st. The cost of a burger and salad is $11. Please bring your money to Amy Mendonca (OT) or Julie Crowson (PT) by the end of Monday May 28th. Drinks will be regular price. We also plan to organize a student/faculty game of some sort in the park (just across from The Grad Club), starting around 4:00pm, depending on the space available. Feel free to bring frisbees, soccer balls, footballs, etc,. We have all worked extremely hard this year and we think that this BBQ will be a great opportunity to reward ourselves and hang out with everyone before we are all in different locations for the summer. As well, it is definitely something to look forward to in the upcoming weeks of exams! So, recap: Who: PT/OT Students & Faculty What: PT/OT Year-End BBQ Where: The Grad Club When: May 31st; 4:00pm-7:00pm How: Bring $11 to Amy/Julie by May 28th Get excited!! Julie & Amy

Amy Mendonca & Julie Crowson Hello OTs & PTs of 2013!
I am notifying you as the Speaker of your 2012-2013 Rehab Therapy Society Council in order to inform you all of a call for nominations for the annual "Rookie of the Year" Award. This award goes out at the end of every year to one OT and one PT first year student who has demonstrated a high level of participation, sportsmanship and dedication to the intramural program and to the School of Rehab Therapy community. All first year students are eligible. The council is currently asking you to email us the name of any student who you think fits the bill by May 21st 2012. After all nominations have been received, a committee of council members will then be responsible for selecting the two award recipients. We hope to present the award at an end of the year event before - details to follow! In order to nominate someone for this award, please send an email to 1cnd@queensu.ca containing the following information: 1) Their name in full 2) Your name in full 3) A few sentences explaining why you think this person deserves to be PT or OT's Rookie of the Year! Thanks very much and please don't hesitate to email with any questions (1cnd@queensu.ca). Caitlin DuBiel Speaker, 2013 Rehab Therapy Society Council |
