Rehab Formal Awards

Every year the Rehab Therapy Society Council presents 3 awards at the Rehab Formal. A call for nominations for award recipients is now open for the Rehab classes of 2013 . Check your emails for award descriptions and the nomination ballot form. Deadline for nomination submission is Sunday, January 20th. All Rehab 2013 students are eligible to makes nominations. Please submit nominations to the Rehab Therapy Society Council at 1cnd@queensu.ca.


#1 - The Rehabilitation Therapy Society Award

The Rehabilitation Therapy Society Award is the highest honour that can be paid for valuable and distinguished service to the School of Rehabilitation Therapy in extracurricular activities (excluding varsity sports). A maximum of two awards will be presented (one from each discipline). Who do you think has gone above and beyond?


#2 – The Blue Star Award

The Blue Star Award shall be presented to one professor/instructor from the Occupational Therapy program and one professor/instructor from the Physical Therapy program in recognition of excellence in teaching. Anyone who has taught a course or a major component of a course is eligible for nomination and selection of this award. Who has made exceptional, positive contributions to your learning here in the past 2 years?


#3 – Helen Chan Award of Merit
The Helen Chan Award of Merit (HCAM) shall be presented to any student(s) who has/have demonstrated outstanding involvement in intramurals for the past academic year. A maximum of two students will be presented with the award annually (one from each discipline). Who do we always see on the field/ in the pool/ on the court!?
