Founded in 2019, KHealth is an inter-professional organization in Kingston that connects students from the Faculty of Health Sciences to the community through volunteering. Students from medicine, nursing, occupational therapy, and physical therapy are involved in implementing novel ideas to improve the well-being and health of vulnerable populations.

You can find out more about our services below! They include:
  1. KHealth organizes service learning projects that refer Queen’s students to community organizations.
  2. We founded the Student-run Community Support Program, which offers weekly phone check-ins and free grocery deliveries to those affected by the COVID-19 crisis.
  3. In the past, we organized other initiatives, most notably the COVID-19 Online Fundraisers, which supported local charities and food banks (e.g. Lionhearts Inc.), and 'Call your First Patient' Day.
  4. KHealth is currently actively developing an Inter-Professional Community Health Program for Queen’s students titled “Introduction to Working with Vulnerable Populations in an Inter-Professional Setting”.
How to Get Involved with KHealth
  • We will be recruiting student leaders to be part of our executive team for the 2020-2021 school year. Stay tuned!
  • We are always looking for student volunteers throughout the year for our community health initiatives.
